POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY

The Manager of Sustainability (Social & Governance) will lead and drive corporate sustainability initiatives focusing on social and governance aspects. This role will support MAHB’s corporate sustainability vision, mission, and policies, ensuring sustainability is embedded within the organization’s operations and culture, while enhancing MAHB’s position as a leader in sustainability within the industry.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

  • Support the development and execution of the company’s sustainability strategy, leading the Social and Governance aspects and ensuring the Strategy is aligned with broader corporate goals and values.
  • Champion internal and external sustainability efforts focusing on social and governance areas, promoting sustainability as a core business function.
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to effectively promote MAHB’s sustainability initiatives, for both internally and externally.
  • Lead the production of the annual Sustainability Report, highlighting key environmental, social, and governance initiatives and achievements.
  • Identify and prioritize areas for social and governance improvements, recommending proactive strategies to address relevant sustainability issues.
  • Serve as the internal expert and spokesperson for social and governance sustainability topics, providing regular updates and educational sessions for key stakeholders.
  • Build relationships with relevant government and private agencies, local and international, to stay updated on emerging trends, regulations, and best practices in sustainability, particularly in the areas of social and governance.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including Health & Safety, Risk Management, Investor Relations, Stakeholder Relations and Regulatory Affairs, Airport Operations, and Engineering, to ensure a unified approach to sustainability initiatives.
  • Ensure alignment of sustainability initiatives with the company’s broader risk management framework, focusing on social and governance risks.
  • Coach and mentor cross-functional teams to enhance understanding and adoption of sustainability practices within the organization.
  • Administrator of ESG database and provide support to the users on ESG requirements, including data troubleshooting
