Position based in Petaling Jaya
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop & Implement New Products & Processes – develop new formulation, processes, review of new materials, conducting shelf-life studies whenever necessary. Able to lead technical for projects to achieve targets.
- Create, maintain, and secure all relevant R&D documentation i.e. formulations, manufacturing procedures and specifications.
- Continuous Improvement Projects – participate in idea development, execution of renovation projects, support in sensory evaluation.
- Drive, support, participate and abide with Product Development systems and procedures.
- Provide relevant technical support and expertise regarding product, process, ingredients, or food regulations as appropriate.
- Keep abreast with regulatory, industry and market food trends.
- Participate in appointed GMP, HACCP, ISO, Halal, OSH or other committees/ audits assigned.
Key Requirements For Successful Applicant:
- Bachelor's degrees in Food Science/Food Technology or related science.
- Minimum 3 years working experience in food manufacturing industry, especially from sauces or simple meals industries.
- Familiar with general food processes, food safety requirements, local Food Act & Regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP
- No food inhibitions or major food allergies
- Competent with MS Office applications, BOM system
- Good verbal and written communication skills (English)
- Food Handler Training
- Basic understanding of Malaysian Food Regulations and Halal requirements
