Job Responsibilities

  • Strive to the achievement of regional retail sales targets and ARPU targets set forth by the management of the company.
  • Conduct market survey; analyze market trends/conditions and competitive activities in managing the business effectively and submit report to management with recommendations.
  • Build close business rapport with the retailers under own charge through regular sales calls and usage of the Call Cards and Contact Reports in order to implement the company sales and distribution strategies throughout the retailer channels.
  • Responsible for the timely execution, effective communication and monitoring of the region consumer promotions/offers and or local tailor-made promotions to ensure its achievement of the sales targets set.
  • Ensure proper implementation/execution of ASTRO branding/awareness via ASTRO Counter/ASTRO Corner, TV Display, demo line, signage and decking up of the POS materials at the retail outlets.
  • Execute the implementation, monitoring and control of incentive schemes intended for motivating the retailers and providing feedback and ground level check/control.
  • Manage the development of the Retailer Channel of Distribution by identifying potential retailers for appointment and establishing good business relationship with selected retailers - leading to the achievement of sales target and the quality of customer service expected.
  • Manage the execution, monitoring and compliance of retailers to the Retail Policy and Rules of Trade to ensure a sound operating business environment.

Requirements

  • Diploma with minimum 3 years experience in sales of consumer goods or equivalent.
  • Fluent in English, Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good training, coaching and motivation skills.
  • Knowledge of local market opportunities.
  • Wide contacts with potential business partners and local authorities.
  • Good knowledge of the local geography.
