We are seeking an experienced Test Specialist to lead our mobile app testing projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mobile app and manual testing, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions on time and within budget. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Role: Test Specialist- Mobile Testing
Work Location: Georgetown, Penang
Type of Employment: Permanent
Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for the development and implementation of overall testing plans to ensure the quality and user experience of the product (short video + e-commerce mobile app).
2. Design and execute test cases, including functional testing, performance testing, security testing, compatibility testing, etc., to ensure test coverage and quality.
3. Track and manage the testing progress, ensuring that the testing plan is synchronized with the product development plan, and timely discover issues and promote problem resolution.
4. Collaborate closely with development team, product team, and UI/UX team to ensure smooth integration of testing with product design and development processes.
5. Continuously optimize the testing process, introduce new testing tools and technologies to improve testing efficiency and accuracy.
6. Write and review test reports, analyze and summarize test results, and provide improvement suggestions.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree or above in computer science, software engineering, or related fields, preferably with 3+ years of work experience as Test Specialist or similar role.
2. Proficient in software testing theories, methods, and technologies, with a deep understanding of the short video and e-commerce industry would be an added advantage.
3. Experience in testing native/web applications on iOS/Android/TV or other common platforms
4. Solid understanding and demonstrable experience of SDLC and QALC, knowledge of QA concepts and methodologies.
5. Strong logical thinking ability, problem analysis, and problem-solving skills, with enthusiasm for testing work.
6. Proficient in both English and Mandarin skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing, able to read and understand technical documents in both English and Chinese and communicate effectively with foreign colleagues.
7. Good communication skills and teamwork spirit, able to collaborate effectively with development, product, and other teams to advance project progress together.
8. Ability to adapt to a fast-changing work environment.
9. Experience leading projects that involve cross-team collaboration
10. Experience leading or mentoring Test Analysts as technical lead
Preferred Qualification:
- Experience testing application/service for short videos.
- Experience testing large-scale and critical application/service.
- Proficient in at least one mainstream automation testing tool, such as Appium, Robot Framework, or similar frameworks and capable of writing automation test scripts
