Job Summary

  • As part of the Transaction Banking (TB) award-winning Global Content and Proposal Management Team, and reporting to Head, Global Content and Proposal Management, the Bid and Content Manager will partner with the Sales/RMs/stakeholder communities to drive and deliver responses to strategic proposals and general pre-mandate questions across all client segments within TB, covering both new and retention of existing business. Using the proposal management best practice framework, the Bid and Content Manager, will manage the process involving all teams within a proposal lifecycle – across geographies and time zones – to ensure the client’s deadline is met, while maintaining the highest quality output. This role will support all time zones as well as provide turnaround enhancements and optimsiation for RFP capacity in time zone they are allocated. This role will also encompass supporting sales enablement materials such as case studies.

Key Responsibilities

You will:

  • Partner with RMs, TB Sales and other subject matter experts to deliver high quality proposals/presentations and drive deal wins
  • Work with deal owners and subject matter experts to customise and present the most compelling solutions to meet the dynamic needs of clients - enhance/create value propositions to bring out key points that meet the client’s objectives and revise client responses to provide accuracy, full coverage and clarity
  • Assist to clearly articulate our competitive differentiators and key strengths to meet the client’s objectives.
  • Understand risk issues and incorporate appropriate solutions within proposals
  • Co-ordinate deal calls and facilitate discussions on open items, sharing knowledge and client experiences with the deal team
  • Collaborate with global, regional, and local counterparts on RFPs, manage priorities to drive efficient and effective RFP preparation process including turnaround time
  • Update all deal trackers and RFP calendar promptly and accurately of both in-flight and completed proposal including post deal client feedback
  • Be an integral part of the Global Content and Proposal Management Team and a subject matter expert to ensure timely and accurate update of new and existing responses and content from past RFPs submissions; including diagrams, tables and charts, in the content databases refresh on an ongoing basis
  • Support sales enablement, including but not limited to drafting client use cases/case studies for awards submissions and client pitches and presentations
  • Champion brand standards and guidelines for Transaction Banking, promoting application of best practices on all deliverables (including templates, toolkits, and proposals) to drive consistency and in line with the Bank’s brand, style guide/editorial, and compliance standards
  • Leverage the best in industry new technology platforms to ensure superior results, contributing to the development of new and improved processes and workflow
  • Actively keeping abreast of market trends, competitive intelligence, and industry best practices
  • Drive and support strategic initiatives working closely with all stakeholders to improve productivity and efficiency across process improvements for key stakeholders
  • Work in a group dynamic, and actively participate on any given project as the position evolves and as assigned by the line manager
  • Take initiative and bring innovative ideas to the table

Qualifications

  • Excellent English verbal and written communications - writing, editing, proofreading skills, including persuasive writing techniques
  • Mandarin proficiency is a plus
  • Good knowledge of cash and trade management / transaction banking
  • Excellent project management skills, including high attention to detail and facilitation experience
  • Ability to work flexi hours occasionally as required to support different time zones.
  • Track record of successfully delivering multiple projects on time
  • Self-motivated, highly driven to produce results
  • Committed team player with willingness to be hands-on support
  • Client focus/stakeholder management
  • Experience with deadline driven tasks in a multi-tasking environment and meeting deadlines

Professional

  • A degree holder, preferably in Economics, Finance, Business or Marketing/Communications
  • Minimum 8 to 14 years’ relevant experience in the industry, including demonstrated success in an appropriate role

Technical

  • Advanced experience in Microsoft Office Suite (in particular MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Excel)
  • Proposal writing experience
