Who we’re looking for / The role

If you believe that marketing and brand are the cornerstones of how an enduring and timeless consumer brand emerges and you want to be a part of it’s early chapters.

This role serves as a key member of our Senior Management Team, serving our core markets Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore. You’ll work directly with our CEO and co-founders, Marketing Managers, and cross-functional teams to strategize and execute the full spectrum of marketing & brand activities, implementing them seamlessly as we scale-up brand and product awareness and usage amongst consumers in the region.

Objectives: To grow the breadth and depth of mental availability of the Blood brand as we scale up market share growth of the Blood brand and products

Core Responsibilities:

Brand Strategy and Growth (25%)

  • Lead the ABP brainstorming and planning process with senior leaders, resulting in comprehensive campaign plans, including timelines, budgets, and KPIs, that are then rolled out to managers, channel ICs, KAMs, design, finance, ops, etc.
  • Continually gathering consumer and category insights and intel, by leading qualitative and quantitative research and brand surveys
  • Drive and project manage NPI/NPD (including consumer research, packaging, USP/RTB) from conceptualization thru to launch and beyond
  • Ensure brand visual+copy quality standards, on-brand-ness and challenger-ness of all outgoing content

Go-to-market and Channel Optimisation (60%)

  • Thinking and ensuring that everything can come together seamlessly in execution, from upstream ATL channels such as digital ads and media planning, to downstream BTL channels such as trade marketing & POSMs in brick & mortar stores, on-ground activities, in both offline and online sales channels.
  • Oversee Marketing Manager’s execution of major campaign plans and “always-on” activities with their respective teams across channels, providing feedback and implementing improvements to ensure channel success and maximizing outcomes
  • Be the sparring partner when we work with agencies, edging them to deliver above and beyond
  • Budget ownership of the marketing budget, ensuring optimal allocation and ROI-driven spending to maximize impact across all channels

Foundational Marketing & Brand Processes (15%)

  • Implementing clear guidelines and easy-to-adopt processes to ensure consistency in brand messaging, visual identity, and marketing execution across all touchpoints and markets. (This includes developing and maintaining a comprehensive brand book, style guides, and marketing playbooks that can be easily referenced and implemented by team members and partners.)
  • Conducting a thorough biannual brand audit across all touchpoints to ensure alignment and effectiveness
  • Continual alignment/realignment with founders, general manager, senior managers, for 100% strategic alignment as we paint the way we operate as a marketing and brand business for now and the future

Skills & Qualifications

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in marketing or brand, preferably in the FMCG / CPG industry, with a strong track record of success (for example, Senior Brand Manager etc.)
  • Experience in leading and managing high-performing teams / agencies
  • Proven track record of scaling brand awareness and consumer trial/acquisition
  • Strong first principles thinking, with a good working understanding of a wide spectrum of marketing channels
  • A sharp eye for creating clear, compelling headlines, visuals, and messaging that drive both brand impact and commercial success
  • Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in data-driven decision making
  • Great communication and people skills
  • Experience working in a startup or small company environment is a plus, but not required.
