CNC Setter

Responsibilities: • Mazak CNC machines operating & set up fixture, jig for components. • Plan CNC machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces and machining parameters interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T). • Programs CNC milling and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points setting tool registers, offsets, compensation and conditional switches calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry and trigonometry proving part programs. • Maintain specifications by observing CNC drilling, grooving and cutting including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes, adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes. • Select aligns and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials on machines as necessary to CNC machine parts as required. • Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations. • Implemented computer integrated manufacturing (CIM) through backup CNC machine data. • Work closely with the production and engineering teams. • High standard of safety precautions and occupational hazards of all machinery works • Supervise and provide training to CNC machines operators & technicians • Report to Production manager for planning, coordinating & implementing the operational aspect of CNC machining activities.
