Safety Officer

JOB DESCRIPTION 1. Safety Policy Development: Create, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. 2. Risk Assessment: Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments on job sites to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions. 3. Training and Education: Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees, including new hire orientation and ongoing safety refresher courses. 4. Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents and near misses, prepare reports, and recommend measures to prevent future incidents. 5. Safety Inspections: Perform regular inspections of equipment, tools, and work areas to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations. 6. Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on industry regulations and ensure the company adheres to OSHA standards and other applicable safety laws. 7. Safety Equipment Management: Ensure the proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety tools. 8. Emergency Preparedness: Develop and implement emergency response plans, conduct drills, and ensure readiness for potential incidents. 9. Reporting: Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training sessions, incidents, and compliance audits. 10. Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, supervisors, and employees to promote a culture of safety within the organization.
