Legal Manager (Engineering Background)

Job Description: -Act as in-house counsel to provide legal advice to all business units for the Company -Prepare and assist in the drafting, preparing and reviewing various commercial agreements including but not limited to standard and non-standard commercial contracts with customers, suppliers and partners. -Monitor and maintain legal database and secure filing system for all company legal documents, contracts, property titles, intellectual property applications, and related documents for the Company -Conduct necessary legal research to keep abreast of applicable laws and regulations. -Support company in developing and maintaining company policies and processes on legal matters. -Become focal point and assist external lawyer and company in litigation, arbitration, mediation or other disputes with courts, government agencies, or other legal authorities. -Assist HR Department in any Industrial Relations (IR) issues to ensure compliance with employment laws. -Any other duties and assignments as assigned by the superior or Management. Job Requirement: -Possess a Bachelor Degree in Law (LLB) and qualified to practice law with minimum 7 years of related experience. Special Skilled Required: -Good understanding with legal aspects of corporate and commercial matters. -Possesses in-depth knowledge of Malaysian laws and regulation. -Experience with reviewing, drafting and negotiating contract terms. -Strong written and verbal communication & interpersonal skills. -Positive, self-motivated, high integrity, and team player oriented. -Possess outstanding self-drive capabilities and can work under minimum supervision. -Has the ability to deliver the results under difficult situations.
