LAB ASSISTANT

Job Description: • Conduct routine tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards. • Perform physical, chemical, and microbiological analyses using laboratory equipment and techniques. • Record and interpret test results accurately, documenting findings in detailed reports. • Assist in the development and validation of analytical methods for quality control purposes. • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory, including equipment calibration and maintenance. • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment. • Assist in inventory management, including ordering and restocking laboratory supplies and reagents. • Collaborate with Quality Control and Production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions. • Participate in internal and external audits, providing support as needed and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. • Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in food safety and quality assurance. Qualifications: • SPM, Diploma in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or related field. • Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality management systems (e.g., FDA, HACCP, GMP). • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records. • Good communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively. • Familiarity with food testing methods and equipment is preferred. • Understanding of statistical analysis and quality control techniques is a plus.
