ART TEACHER

Job Overview: Spectrum International School is seeking an enthusiastic Art Teacher to inspire and nurture the creativity of our students from lower primary to lower secondary ( Year 1 - Year 9). The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Cambridge Art and Design syllabus and be comfortable teaching across all levels. Key Responsibilities: -Deliver engaging and innovative art lessons in line with the Cambridge curriculum. -Develop and implement a comprehensive visual arts curriculum for students. -Teach various artistic techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art. -Encourage creativity, artistic development, and self-expression in students. -Provide individualized instruction and adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse student needs. -Organize and oversee art exhibitions, school displays, and student participation in art competitions. ⁠-Foster a love of art and encourage creative expression in students. -Assess and evaluate student progress effectively. -Maintain a positive and stimulating learning environment. -Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment. -Collaborate with other faculty members and participate in school events, meetings, and professional development sessions. -Willingness to travel between our two campuses (4 days in Putrajaya, 1 day in KL). Qualifications: -Bachelor’s degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or related field (Master’s degree preferred). - Bachelor in Education / Diploma in Education - Knowledge of the Cambridge Art and Design syllabus. - Experience teaching art to lower primary and lower secondary students. - Strong knowledge of various art forms, mediums, and techniques. - Excellent classroom management and communication skills. - Ability to inspire and engage students with diverse learning styles. - Bonus: Skills in graphic design and media.
