Job vacancy: Sales Representative The Center for Market Education (CME) is the first think-firm headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with a regional in Jakarta, Indonesia. It specializes in business advisory, economic and policy analysis, big data and training services. CME is looking to strengthen its team with a Sales Representative. Responsibilities The Sales Representative will have the responsibility of expanding the outreach of some CME products in order to increase the revenues deriving from subscriptions rather than from on-demand research and consulting services. Tasks 1. CME publishes its Espresso on a monthly basis (https://marketedu.me/archive/). The Espresso is an economic bulletin, presenting and discussing crucial data about the Malaysian economy, distributed for free to 20,000 qualified contacts. The Sales Representative will be in charge of collecting advertisement to support the Espresso publication, according to the following price list: https://marketedu.me/monthly-espresso-ad-pricing/. 2. CME produced the Coffee Bar, the first dynamic and interactive database on the Malaysian economy. A free preview is available here: https://marketedu.me/logtest/coffee-bar-preview/. The Sales Representative will be in charge to look for subscriptions for the Coffee Bar: https://marketedu.me/monthly-espresso-ad-pricing/ Despite 1. and 2. are the main activities of the Sales Representative, he/she can also take initiatives to promote the core services provided by CME: research-on-demand, policy analysis, database development, economist-oncall (https://marketedu.me/products-and-services/). Profile - Malaysian nationality (Malaysian citizen living in Malaysia). - Bachelor degree in business or marketing. - Three years in sales activities. - Strong communication skills and ability to constantly interact with different kinds of people. - Willing to travel extensively in the Klang Valley. - Fluent in English (spoken and written) and Bahasa Malayu (spoken and written). Mandarin is a plus. - High organizational skills. - Ability to work independently, with minimal guidance. - Passionate about free-market economics. Contract - Three-month probation time. - Minimum basic salary with an attractive commission scheme. Reporting He/she will report to the General Manager.
