Summary of the Job Responsibilities: The Supervisor Production is responsible for directing all activities within the assigned area of the production departments. Ensures the on-time production of quality products while handling the daily supervision of the departmental personnel. Key Responsibilities: 1. Plan, organize and direct the manufacturing operation to ensure the obtainment of production schedules Plan and schedule personnel in cooperation with the Head of Operations and Projects (i.e. vacation, temporary workers, overtime work). 2. Provide production expectations and quality feedback to team members in daily start up meeting. 3. Monitor daily established production requirements throughout the shift to ensure customer requirements and plant objectives are met while ensuring OHSA and 5S policies and standards are followed. 4. Train and monitor employee performance to ensure operator is certified and operator training matrix is updated and meeting departmental targets. 5. Compile KPI data and populate end of shift report. 6. Distribute to manager and appropriate operations and support personnel. 7. Ensure job training and daily job rotations are in place and enforced. 8. Ensure compliance of processes, procedures and health and safety guidelines at workplace. 9. Monitor quality of product throughout the production process. 10. Participates in Team Leader meetings and Quality initiatives. 11. Daily review of process and people to identify and implement corrective opportunities. 12. Plan manpower capacity and arrange the work schedule, review production planning to achieve production target and timely delivery. 13. Ensure all equipment, tools, materials and supplies are readily and continuously available to carry out production processes. 14. Assure that product and process quality are compliant to internal and customer quality expectation. 15. Preparing and analysing production and quality reports, identify root cause and able to solve problem with detail study investigation, observation and identification subsequently with suggestion and solution. 16. Implement Lean/continuous improvement, process improvement and small group activity to achieve higher productivity, efficiency, lead time reduction, control wastages and cost saving. 17. Acting as a team role model and change-agent. Positively lead and influence team members to work together to achieve individual and business goals. 18. To support company’s Operation Management System in accordance with ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO/TS16949 and OHSAS45001 standards. 20. Ensure all production activities comply with health and safety regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). 21. Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments, addressing any potential hazards or unsafe practices. 22. Promote a culture of safety within the team, encouraging adherence to safety protocols and continuous awareness. 23. Prepare and submit production reports to the Production Manager, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and any areas of Concern. 24. Any other duties as assigned by the Reporting Manager/Superior. Experience and Knowledge: • Strong knowledge in machinery/ equipment preventive maintenance. • Ability to provide expertise, advice, and guidance around the operation and enhancements of FUME (Facility, Utility, Maintenance, and Equipment) assets and systems. • Familiar with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949 and ISO 45001 system. • Strong skills in leadership, decision making and problem solving. • Result oriented, proactive and able to work under pressure. • Responsible and positive working attitudes. • Exposure to/knowledge of working in a multi-cultural office environment. • ERP software • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
