Job Scope: Social Media Manager Position Overview: The Social Media Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the overall social media strategy for the company or client. They will be in charge of creating engaging content, managing social media accounts, analyzing metrics, and staying up-to-date with social media trends to enhance the brand's online presence and drive engagement. Key Responsibilities: 1. Strategy Development: - Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives. - Identify target audiences and devise strategies to reach and engage them effectively. - Collaborate with marketing, sales, and content teams to integrate social media into overall marketing campaigns. 2. Content Creation and Management: - Create high-quality, engaging content for various social media platforms, including text, image, and video content. - Manage the content calendar and ensure consistent posting schedules across all platforms. - Monitor user engagement and respond to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely manner. - Curate user-generated content and leverage it to enhance brand credibility and engagement. 3. Account Management: - Manage and optimize company or client social media accounts on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc. - Monitor trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design, and strategy and incorporate them into the company's or client's social media strategy. - Stay updated with platform algorithm changes and adjust strategies accordingly to maximize reach and engagement. 4. Analytics and Reporting: - Track and analyze key social media metrics, such as engagement, reach, conversion rates, and ROI. - Generate regular reports on social media performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement. - Utilize analytics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for optimization in social media campaigns. 5. Community Building and Engagement: - Foster a sense of community around the brand by engaging with followers, influencers, and other relevant stakeholders. - Develop and execute influencer marketing campaigns to amplify brand reach and credibility. - Monitor industry conversations and participate in relevant discussions to increase brand visibility and thought leadership. 6. Crisis Management: - Develop crisis management protocols and strategies to address any negative publicity or social media crises promptly and effectively. - Monitor social media channels for any potential PR issues and respond appropriately to mitigate risks to the brand's reputation. Qualifications and Skills: - Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field. - Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role. - Strong understanding of social media platforms, their respective audiences, and best practices. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Creative thinking and ability to generate innovative ideas for content and campaigns. - Proficiency in social media management tools and analytics platforms. - Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
