Job Summary

Oversee and lead country-wide implementation and management of the organization’s Enterprise Risk Management framework, Corporate Insurance and Business Continuity Management. Drive initiatives as directed by the Global function to ensure alignment to global direction on top of local initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Review, recommend and enhance (where appropriate) the current Risk Management’s roadmap, policy, framework, methodology and system.
  • Build a risk-aware culture by providing ongoing education and appropriate briefing and training.
  • Coordinate update of risk registers on a quarterly basis (or more frequently where risk profile changes significantly) ensuring risks are identified, reviewed and assessed adequately.
  • Coordinate review of risk registers on an annual basis ensuring risks are identified, reviewed and assessed by respective owners and status of risk treatment plans by conduct of risk workshop(s) attended by Senior Management.
  • Facilitate Risk Management programs by assisting with remediation strategies and implementation of improvements.
  • On an on-going basis advise and report to Head of Governance, Risk and Compliance on risk related issues that arise throughout the organization.
  • Develop presentation slides for the Enterprise Risk Management Committee and Board of Directors of the Company.
  • Investigate and research emerging risks and trends in the industry advising management where appropriate.
  • Champion the company Business Continuity Management framework by developing working tools, templates and ensure consistent implementation of the BCM framework throughout the organization.
  • Increase awareness towards BCM through workshops and trainings and conducting BCM testing on an annual basis.
  • Lead for Corporate Insurance matters in the company Ÿ Ensure insurance policies are renewed in a timely manner annually.
  • Track and follow-up on insurance claims with company elected brokers Ÿ Preparing, where required, reports for purposes of reporting to Board, Senior Management, and other stakeholders.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
  • Degree in Law/Business Studies is an added advantage.
  • Recognized Enterprise Risk Certification is highly advantageous.
  • Minimum of three years’ of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience doing operational risk in an organization of similar size is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ISO31000 or the COSO framework is highly preferred.
