Job Description
- To advise the employer or any person in charge of a workplace
- To assist the employer or the safety health committee in organizing and implementing safety and health program at the work place
- To become secretary to the safety and health committee.
- To assist the safety and health committee in any inspection.
- To inspect the workplace to determine whether the machinery, plant, equipment, substance, appliances or process or any description of manual labor to be used in the place of work is such liable to cause injury.
- To investigate any accident, near miss accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning, or occupational disease.
- To collect, analyses and maintain statistic on any accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning, and occupational disease
- To oversight the subordinates and employees in the SHE team
- To carry out any other instruction made by the employer or any person in charge of the place of work of the place of work on any matter pertaining to safety and health.
- Other responsibilities and duties assigned and required by management.
Requirements and skills
- Certificate in occupational health and safety(Valid Green Book Holder)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics
- Experience in writing and able to prepare report and provide statistical information to upper management
- Minimum 5 year working experience as Safety & Health Officer in Construction industry
- Well versed in OSHA act & regulations
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
- Willing to travel and can be placed anywhere (Johor Bahru)
