What is the opportunity?

Bank Loan are private agreement between a borrower and a lender. Each bank has a set amount(notional), interest rate and maturity date. The team will be responsible in the execution of trade instructions, settlement, interest calculations, valuation and asset servicing for the client. The position requires good experience and background in back-office operations. This person is proactive, and he/she adds value by working on a number of simultaneous tasks with minimal supervision while paying special attention to details. Our mission is to perform day-to-day operations in offering transparency and high level of control to our clients that we service.

The incumbent is responsible for operating the Bank Loan activities within the stipulated as stated in the SLA/Operations Memorandum. Activities are performed in strict adherence of the procedure and internal control guidelines.

Region: Europe (Luxembourg & Dublin)

Working hours: 4:00PM - 1:00AM or 5:00PM - 2:00AM

What will you do?


  • Ensure trade instructions received are booked accurately in the platform as per the detail provided by client. Where payment is required to be performed, the details are reviewed and executed within the payment currency cut off.
  • Review and reconcile all transaction post settlement, and ensure exception identified are followed up accordingly until resolution. Potential issue identified are escalated to management
  • Perform validation/4 eye check to ensure accuracy of transaction
  • Ensure all queries are managed effectively and escalation are sent to the Manager on timely manner.
  • Signoff on daily process requirement.
  • Support line manager with the enhancement of process controls and monthly MI/KPI
  • Liaise with other department units where necessary to ensure a high-quality service
  • Implement processes for team efficiencies and participate in business improvements and Fund integration projects
  • Ensure procedures are updated (in accordance with internal and client policies) and adhered to and where necessary define them.

Minimal education level
Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality


  • Relevant tertiary education

Level of minimal experience
3-5 years

  • Experience in financial industry
  • Any prior experience in back office with settlement and trade booking

Required skills


  • Ability to handle multiple tasks under extremely time sensitive conditions
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Technical skills required


  • Computer literacy including good knowledge of Access - VBA (creating excel macros, creating queries and forms in Access, VBA codes)
