To provide process support and expertise for technology development, bidding, projects and operations. Project support includes all process related work for complete EPCIC cycle from FEED to commissioning phase/first start-up. Operations support includes all process related work for Management of Change (MOCs), optimization, troubleshooting and upgrade of processing facilities within the operating fleets, incident investigation, interface with Class Societies and lead the fleet process engineering/design requirements.

Responsibilities:

Engineering Works

  • To develop, configure and optimize process facilities design from inception. This includes the development of process simulations with optimized process scheme, high accuracy; and prepare the process simulation report or technical notes.
  • Development of PFDs, P&IDs, PSDs, SAFE Charts, Cause and Effect Matrix, specifications, data sheets, calculations, and relevants reports, technical note and philosophy.
  • Analyse process facility design using computer simulation tools, softwares and spreadsheets.
  • Provide process engineering support in process troubleshooting and optimization for operating fleets.
  • Participation in various engineering workshops including HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, C&E, design reviews.
  • Prepare and/or review closeouts for HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, design reviews recommendations.
  • Provide process engineering support to operations and commissioning personnel for first oil readiness and initial production start-up.
  • Provide process engineering support to operations for current operating fleet on MOCs, TQ and any improvement work via Work Request from Client or internally.
  • 3rd party Engineering subcontractor work review and liaison.
  • Monitor and verify detailed engineering work provided by outside parties (for example engineering contractors) to ensure their drawings and documents submission meet project engineering deliverables and requirements.
  • Prepare CTR (Cost Time Resource) for Mangement of Change (MOC) & process engineering work scopes.
  • Provide technical solution in the aspect of project cost optimization. Ensure design is fit for purpose with minimum cost thus lowering CAPEX and OPEX project expenditure.
  • Provide input into the design of process facilities, utility systems and layouts of new or upgraded vessels.
  • Encourage and promote the development of junior engineers by knowledge sharing and provide guidance during their daily job tasks.
  • Coordinate and work closely with other disciplines, procurement, commercial, project and operation teams to achieve the common goal of business.
  • To investigate and explore new process technologies and develop in-house if require.

Package Management

  • Prepare/review and provide process equipment datasheet / specifications for quotation inquiry
  • Review process related item from vendor proposals to ensure requirements or specifications required are met
  • Monitor and verify detailed engineering work provided by outside parties (for example engineering contractors) to ensure their drawings and documents submission meet project engineering deliverables and requirements.
  • Manage subcontractors/vendors for process design/engineering issues.
  • Provide related reports/technical note to support technical evaluation (if any)
  • Review process related item from vendor proposals to ensure requirements or specifications required are met.

Bidding Support

  • Support Bid/Proposal activities and prepare bid process documents.
  • Provide process engineering support for technologyand business development.
  • Capable to manage team of process engineers and drafters for FEED competition work or study for any potential FPSO, Gas Technology and Technology works.

Quality Assurance

  • Capable to utilize available process department Tools and EDCS (or any future digitalization facility)
  • Responsible to adhere to Process Department Procedure and other relevant procedures to ensure any process work/deliverables are in good quality.
  • Responsible to continuously self improve and process department tools according to latest rules, regulations and standard.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering
  • Registered with BEM
  • Minimum 7 - 15 years in oil & gas production and processing design and/or operations experience.
  • Offshore experience and FPSO knowledge are a valued asset.
  • Hands on experience for using process simulation tools.
  • Performed process equipments sizing, hydraulic calculations, datasheets, process drawings and reports
  • Attended HAZOP, HAZID and SIL Study as minimum
  • Responsible as process and/or senior process engineer for any oil and gas development project (FPSO, topside, CPP, specific system) in various phase of project execution
  • Hands on experience dealing with Class Body for design review, certification, classification
  • Able to perform simulations using process design software such as Aspen HYSYS, FLARENET, PIPENET and PIPESIM.
  • Experience in design and or operation of oil separation, stabilization, gas compression, dehydration, dew point control, other gas treatment processes.
  • Expertise in process simulations and the ability to validate the results, relate theoretical predictions to actual operations.
  • Development of Heat & Material Balances, concept selection and basic design preparation of PFD, P&ID and equipment sizing.
  • Should possess knowledge of Process Engineering codes and standards followed for Oil & Gas industry; and Class
  • Demonstrate good leadership & communication skills.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of commercial imperatives.
  • Computer Literacy (Words - must, Excel - must, Powerpoint - must, AutoCAD - not a must)

Added Advantage

  • Experience in FSRU/FLNG/NGL/LCO2 Systems etc., will be an advantage.
  • Dynamic modelling, transient analysis using oil & gas industry proven simulation tools.
  • Managed engineeering contractors and vendors.
  • Registered as Professional Engineer or Chartered Engineer.
  • Associated with shipyards for site engineering, solving site technical queries, vendor drawing review& approval, site inspection and fabrication supports.
  • Experience in Start-up, commissioning support and troubleshooting of issues on operating facilities.
