Solar Design Engineer (GCPV Certified)

Job Summary & Responsibilities:

- Develop photovoltaic (PV) system proposals by calculating roof area and analyzing electricity bills.

- Design complete PV systems, including layout and single-line drawings, along with comprehensive reports.

- Assist in preparing the Bill of Materials (BOM).

- Establish and maintain relationships with key customers, identify business opportunities, and stay informed about current market trends.

- Conduct site visits, audits, and meetings to gather structural, electrical, and relevant data for solar power system designs.

- Create design proposals for grid-connected solar systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

- Develop design specifications and functional requirements for systems.

- Use CAD software to create technical drawings such as PV layouts, electrical single-line diagrams, panel schedules, and connection diagrams for solar electric systems.

- Prepare tender documents for consultant bids.

- Compile and organize all technical documents and drawings for tender submissions.

- Liaise with TNB, SEDA and ST for any application purposes

Skills Required

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

- Strong organizational and analytical skills.

- Willingness to travel.

- Proficiency in various software tools, including AutoCAD.

- Results-oriented with project management skills.

Qualifications :

- Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience

- SEDA GCPV Certified or soon to be certified

- Knowledge of photovoltaics

- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
