Maintenance Technician (Civil Engineering)

We are currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with a background in civil engineering to join our team. This role is ideal for a diploma holder with basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, who is eager to contribute to the upkeep and functionality of our facilities.

RESPONSIBILITY:

1. Routine Maintenance:

• Perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks on civil engineering structures such as buildings, roads, and bridges.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure optimal functioning of mechanical and electrical systems within these structures.

2. Repair and Troubleshooting:

• Diagnose and repair issues related to civil engineering infrastructure, including mechanical and electrical components.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and maintain safety standards.

3. Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including parts inventory and work orders.
• Prepare reports detailing maintenance activities, equipment status, and recommendations for improvements.

4. Compliance and Safety:

• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations during maintenance and repair tasks.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and standards applicable to civil engineering structures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Previous experience in maintenance or a related field is advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and a proactive approach to tasks.
