Supplier Quality Engineer

Roles And Responsibilities:

1.1 General

- Machining and Sheet Metal Evaluation: Assess and validate machining and sheet metal according to customer technical specifications, ensuring functional integration.

- System Assembly Support: Provide assistance in root cause analysis, and troubleshooting, to ensure proper functioning.

- Quality and Delivery Reliability: Expedite supplier quality assurance processes and ensure reliable delivery timelines.

- Documentation Support: Assist in project documentation tasks including CAD and BOM management, and operationalsupplier work instruction preparation.

- Validation of Customer Requirements: Validate customer requirements, processes, and specifications for machining, and sheet metal commodities.

- Project Support: Participate in supporting project timelines and deliveries, ensuring alignment with quality standards.

- Supplier Guidance: Provide technical guidance and support to suppliers, addressing functional matters as necessary.

- Technical Communication: Effectively communicate and translate technical requirements between suppliers and customers. customers.

- Part Validation: Perform virtual or onsite buyoff on new parts fabricated by suppliers, ensuring compliance with specifications.

- FAIR Review: Review and approve First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) submitted by suppliers.

- FAI Plan Execution: Conduct First Article Inspection (FAI) plans for both suppliers and customers.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams such as purchasing, sourcing, planning and engineering, manufacturing in order to meet quality and delivery commitments.

- Training and Knowledge Sharing: Conduct training sessions and share technical knowledge with both internal and external stakeholders.

- Supplier Evaluation: Prepare supplier evaluation reports, identifying areas of excellence and improvement needed.

- Supplier Relationship Management: Manage relationships with suppliers to ensure compliance with internal, and customers' expectations and best practices.

- Quality System Implementation: Implement, maintain, and verify quality systems according to company procedures and project quality plans.

- 5S Implementation: Ensure compliance with Company 5S implementation standards to maintain a clean and organized work environment.

1.2 Liaison with other Departments

- To coordinate with the other departments on the supplier quality, manufacturing, and engineering related matters.

1.3 Work Environment

- To ensure the workplace is clean and tidy at all times and to adhere to all the Company's rules and regulations.

Requirements:

- Minimum Degree or Diploma in mechanical engineering

- A good understanding of machining, sheet metal, and frame manufacturing processes especially in a semiconductor environment. Semiconductor capital equipment experience is a plus.

- A good understanding of surface finishing process and standards (E.g., anodising, chromating, powder coating etc.)

- At least 3 to 5 years of related working experience
