Clerk of Work (M&E)

We are looking for an experienced Clerk of Works (M&E) to supervise the Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) elements of our projects. In this role, you’ll ensure that all M&E works meet quality, safety, and compliance standards, following specifications closely. Ideal candidates will have technical expertise, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, contractors, and project teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise the M&E aspects of construction projects.
• Ensure a consistently high quality of work, aligning with specifications and standards through regular inspections with subcontractors.
• Continuously review designs, drawings, quantities, specifications, and schedules for updates or changes.
• Maintain the site work schedule by coordinating activities to ensure timely completion at each project stage.
• Identify on-site issues and collaborate effectively with the Project Manager and team to provide technical support and solutions.
• Oversee daily operations of subcontractors, ensuring adherence to standard operational procedures.
• Coordinate with the Contract Manager, Project Manager, Site Manager, and Quantity Surveyor on quantity checks, quality inspections, variations, and confirmation of instructions.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in supervising M&E works, ideally as a Clerk of Works or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of M&E systems, installation practices, and compliance standards.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Good knowledge in AutoCad and Microsoft Office
• Good in project management and supervision skills
• Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to project challenges.
• Flexibility to respond to emergencies outside regular work hours.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM6,500.00 per month
