The Head of Marketing will lead and execute the marketing strategy across multiple F&B brands in Klang Valley, ensuring each brand achieves visibility, growth, and profitability. Managing a team of three, this role is pivotal in strengthening brand presence, targeting the above-average market, and aligning marketing efforts with business objectives. Brands range from specialty coffee shops and cookie concessions in malls to full-service restaurants and cocktail bars, each requiring tailored marketing approaches.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy for each brand under the group, positioning them uniquely to capture the target market
- Brand-specific marketing oversight. Devise and implement customer engagement strategies that draw foot traffic and enhance brand loyalty within mall locations, maximizing business within operating hours. (F&B business in shopping malls)
- Tailor marketing efforts to accommodate the specific business hours and locations, focusing on attracting local patrons, promoting special events, and enhancing the dining experience. (Restaurant & Cocktail Bar)
- Conduct market analysis to keep abreast of F&B trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscape, adapting strategies to maintain brand relevance
- Oversee brand identity guidelines and ensure consistent messaging and visual presentation across all marketing channels
- Plan and execute marketing campaigns that resonate with target consumers, ensuring effective use of traditional, digital, and social media platforms
- Work with the digital marketing team to optimize online presence through targeted advertising, SEO, email marketing, and social media strategies
- Drive in-store and online promotions in alignment with business objectives and seasonal trends, collaborating with the culinary and operation team for smooth execution
- Lead, mentor, and develop the marketing team, ensuring clear role expectations, goal-setting, and regular performance assessments.
- Provide guidance on brand visuals and creatives in collaboration with the Creative Designer, ensuring alignment with each brand’s image.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration within the company, working closely with operations, culinary, and other relevant teams to support promotional activities.
- Develop and manage the annual marketing budget, optimizing spend across channels to ensure ROI.
- Track, analyze, and report on marketing KPIs, adapting strategies based on performance to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with business targets.
- Lead initiatives that improve customer experience, brand loyalty, and engagement, ensuring consistency in the brand promise.
- Coordinate with the Digital Marketing Executive to manage online reviews and customer feedback, ensuring responsive and positive interactions across platforms.
Job requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in F&B or retail marketing, with proven experience managing multiple brands
- Strong understanding of the F&B market in Malaysia, particularly in the Klang Valley
- Demonstrated ability to lead a marketing team, manage budgets, and implement successful campaigns across various channels
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with digital marketing tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, social media ads, email marketing software).
- Experience in customer experience management and brand loyalty programs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with flexibility for occasional evening/weekend work, depending on events or campaign needs.
Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: RM9,000.00 - RM13,000.00 per month
