Job Title: Area Sales Executive – FMCG
Location:HQ- JB, Work from Home
Reports to: Sales Manager
Job Summary:
The Area Sales Executive is responsible for driving sales and expanding market presence within the assigned territory. This includes achieving sales targets, building strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and other partners, and implementing strategic sales initiatives for sustained growth. The role requires in-depth knowledge of the FMCG industry, customer needs, and competitive landscape to effectively manage and grow the customer base.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Management & Revenue Generation
1. Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets as set by the company.
2. Manage and oversee the sales activities within the assigned territory.
3. Identify and develop new business opportunities by expanding distribution channels and increasing product visibility.
Market Development & Expansion
1. Increase market penetration by identifying and working with potential new clients.
2. Develop and execute plans to open new sales channels and grow existing ones.
3. Conduct regular visits to retail stores, distributors, and potential clients to ensure product availability and visibility.
Relationship Building & Client Management
1. Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with distributors, retailers, and key clients.
2. Address client issues and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
3. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with customers to secure sales and drive revenue growth.
Sales Forecasting & Reporting
1. Monitor and analyze sales data to adjust sales tactics and improve performance.
2. Prepare regular sales reports detailing performance, trends, and opportunities for management.
3. Forecast future sales trends to help plan stock and inventory needs for the area.
Competitor Analysis & Market Intelligence
1. Conduct regular competitor analysis and stay updated on FMCG industry trends.
2. Gather and report information on competitors' activities, products, pricing, and market share.
3. Provide market intelligence feedback to the marketing and product development teams.
Promotions & Merchandising
1. Implement promotional programs and product displays to increase brand visibility.
2. Work with marketing and merchandising teams to ensure all promotions and campaigns are executed effectively.
3. Train retailer staff on product knowledge, display standards, and customer engagement techniques.
Customer Insights & Feedback Collection
1. Collect and analyze customer feedback on products and services to identify improvement areas.
2. Communicate customer needs and preferences to the product development team.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in sales, preferably in the FMCG industry.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
- Able to attend company meeting by quarterly in JB HQ

Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
