The Senior Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing and maintaining automation systems in a food manufacturing facility. This role focuses on enhancing production efficiency and ensuring quality standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in control systems, instrumentation and PLC programming.

Job Description:

1) Design, develop, and implement automation solutions to optimize production processes

2) Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of automation systems to minimize downtime

3) Analyse and resolve technical issues related to automation equipment, ensuring continuous operation

4) Develop preventive maintenance schedules and procedures for control systems

5) Lead automation projects from concept to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource management

6) Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and maintenance, to ensure project success

7) Ensure all automation systems comply with food safety, health, and environmental regulations

8) Establish instrumentation calibration management procedure, coordinate calibration activities and maintain calibration certificate archive

9) Ensure the availability of critical automation spare parts to minimize production downtime

10) Provide technical training and support to plant personnel on the operation and maintenance of automation systems

11) Mentor junior engineer and technicians, sharing expertise and best practices

Requirements:

1) Proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens), HMI development, and SCADA systems

2) Any training certificate related to PLC/SCADA and Instrumentation is an added advantage

3) Bachelor Degree in Electrical/Instrumentation/Control Engineering

4) 4-6 years of experience

5) Good command on both English and Bahasa Malaysia

6) Microsoft Office, SAP, TIA Portal, Simatic Manager

7) PLC/SCADA, Instrumentation, Motor Control, Troubleshooting, Calibration, Maintenance, Testing & Commissioning, Project Management

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM4,142.78 - RM8,000.60 per month

Schedule:
