Job Purpose:

The Talent Acquisition & Industrial Relations Executive is responsible for driving the recruitment strategy for retail operations and managing industrial relations matters. This role ensures that the organization attracts, hires, and retains the right talent while fostering positive employee relations and ensuring compliance with labor laws.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Talent Acquisition:

Develop and implement talent acquisition strategies to attract and hire retail staff.

Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, interviews, and offer negotiations.

Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and ensure a smooth hiring process.

Build and maintain relationships with external recruitment agencies, educational institutions, and job boards.

Implement employer branding initiatives to position the company as an employer of choice in the retail industry.

Ensure that the recruitment process is in compliance with company policies and labor laws.

2. Onboarding & Employee Retention:

Facilitate the onboarding process to ensure a positive candidate experience and smooth integration into the company.

Work with the HR team to develop and implement employee engagement and retention strategies for retail staff.

Monitor employee turnover rates and develop action plans to address retention challenges.

3. Industrial Relations:

Assist in managing industrial relations matters, including employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.

Serve as a point of contact between management and employees to promote a positive working environment.

Advise management on compliance with labor laws, collective agreements, and employment regulations.

Work closely with the legal team and unions (if applicable) to resolve disputes and negotiate agreements.

Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all IR-related matters.

4. Performance Management & Development:

Support retail managers in the performance appraisal process and identify training needs for staff.

Assist in the development and implementation of career development programs for retail employees.

5. HR Reporting:

Maintain and update recruitment and employee relations records.

Prepare regular reports on recruitment progress, turnover rates, and industrial relations matters.

Analyze data to provide insights and recommendations for improving HR processes.

Key Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in talent acquisition and industrial relations, preferably in the retail industry.

Strong understanding of recruitment processes and industrial relations laws in [insert country].

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

Problem-solving skills with the ability to handle sensitive and complex employee relations issues.

Proficiency in HR software and recruitment platforms.

Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment and manage multiple priorities.

Additional Requirements:

Willingness to travel to various retail locations as needed.

Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, when required.
