The APAC Senior Business Continuity and Physical Security Specialist will be responsible for working with stakeholders to implement Medtronic’s Global Value Stream Business Continuity Program across our APAC sites and support functions that enables the identification, assessment, and management of strategic value stream risks and risk mitigation plans. In addition, they will participate as a member of the APAC crisis management team to respond and recover from disruptive events as quickly as possible. This requires a natural curiosity, proficiency with project management, strong relationship building, interest, and an ability to communicate and execute while under pressure.
Provides day to day operational direction and leadership to all aspects of security operations in the region
Drives forward the regional security plan to address anticipated or current threats and vulnerabilities
Build and maintain strong working relationships with employees and key leaders.
Maintains close relationships with law enforcement, governmental agencies, professional organizations, community emergency responders, intelligence, and private sector counterparts
Conduct, direct and oversee internal investigations as they pertain to threats against Medtronic, it’s property, employees, or interests, in cooperation and coordination with other relevant functions. Reviews and evaluates all security related incidents and makes recommendations to preclude recurrence.
Provides guidance and interpretation about security standards, practices, and programs to support regional and global business and security initiatives
Identify & mitigate threats in accordance with Medtronic’s workplace violence and threat management program
Other duties as assigned
Periodic travel may be required: <25% within APAC
Required Knowledge and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in any field
Minimum of 7 years of relevant hands-on experience in business continuity, risk management, crisis response and/or physical security in complex organization environments; or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant hands-on experience in business continuity, risk management, crisis response and/or supply chain in large, complex organization environments.
Master in Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain is an advantage
The following certifications would be a plus:
Business Continuity Certified
CPP (Certified Protection Professional), PCI (Payment card Industry), PSP (Physical Security Professional), APP (Associate Protection Professional) certified
PMI (Project Management Institute) certified and/or CPM (Certified Project Manager)
Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher
Excellent written and verbal presentation skills
Excellent influencing, process thinking, change management, and data analysis skills
Experience in a manufacturing environment and/or supply chain
Experience with SAP (Systems, Applications & Products) and/or other systems related to Bill of Material, Planning, Logistics and Product Lifecycle Management
