Facilities Maintenance Technician (Junior Support level)

About our group:

Our group is a sub-organization of facilities maintenance is responsible to maintain and ensure the equipment and utilities are functioning and well maintain according to the requirement of each individual equipment or utilities ITM frequency and specification. Generally, the scope is to cover all civil build up area and the factory perimeter assets.

The position is fixed to day shift only according to the shift patterns which is available in the system. Working hours from 7am to 7pm 3 or 4 days a week depending on the shift pattern.

About the role - you will:

• Carry out planned ITM by Engineer for building section. Including maintenance program for one-off repair work and annual, semi-annual, monthly and weekly inspection program. The area, equipment and utilities are define individually based on its unique requirement
• Handle instant repair work for civil, mechanical, plumbing and others request from customer
• Execute visual inspection & routine daily checklist for the factory perimeter and assets
• Supervise repair work when required and follow up repair work during construction or renovation by vendors
• Perform basic repair & maintenance for electrical and mechanical equipment supporting building system example, roller shutter, doors, toilet utilities and plumbing work
• Escalate matters to immediate Supervisor, Engineer, Facility Manager & Facility Director when required

About you:

• Good communication and able to convey good public relation with other department to help smoothen the communication during emergency and critical situation involving production downtime
• Acquired basic computer skills on Office Software and basic writing skill for reporting purposes
• Fluent in English in writing and verbal is an advantage
• Physically fit and familiar with safety requirement at high-risk workplace. The coverage of Facilities consists of plant wide area and required employee with strong and fit health condition to be able to respond when needed

Your experience includes:

• 1 to 3 years of hands-on facilities working background and interested in facilities working environment with Diploma or Certificate level in Electrical, Mechanical or relevant Engineering field.
• Fresh Diploma holders in Mechanical, Electrical or relevant engineering field with interest in facilities working environment are welcomed to apply
• Familiarity with Civil and Mechanical skills related to facilities equipment and working environment (added advantage)
• Basic electrical background and plumbing work (added advantage)
