Responsibility and Duties

  • Plan, execute, and finalize projects according to deadlines and within budget.
  • Coordinate efforts among team members, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of project activities.
  • Create project schedules, resource plans, and timelines. Monitor resource utilization and address any discrepancies.
  • Track and report on project milestones and deliverables. Identify potential delays and take prompt action.
  • Prepare, maintain, and organize project documentation such as meeting minutes, status reports, and project schedules. Ensure proper document control procedures are followed.
  • Monitor and control project costs. Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend actions to stay within budget.
  • Ensure all project work adheres to quality standards, safety regulations, and environmental compliance. Support audits and inspections as needed.
  • Communicate with clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors to provide project updates, address concerns, and facilitate smooth interactions.
  • Identify project risks and develop and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Resolve issues or obstacles affecting project progress and work with the team to implement solutions.
  • Recommend improvements to project management processes, tools, and techniques to enhance team efficiency and project outcomes.
  • Lead and motivate the project team to achieve project goals and maintain high-performance standards.
  • To represent project team at meetings and in interfacing with other organizations
  • To assist in controlling project costs by identifying any potential changes to scope, schedule, or cost; evaluates changes and recommends actions to mitigate impacts; reviews proposed changes for adherence to project plan requirements; and, seeks management’s approval before implementing changes
  • To perform other related duties and responsibilities as required and assigned.

Essential skills and experience:

  • This position requires a Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to quickly identify and prioritize issues, create solutions and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willing to travel.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and CAD applications.
  • Prior, related internship or co-op experience is preferred.
  • Project management experience is a plus.
  • Preferred experience: 2-3 years of related experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
