As a member of True Eco team, you will utilize your academic background and related experience to conduct evaluations and reviews of industrial systems and energy facilities to prepare comprehensive reports, propose new designs, upgrades existing facilities with modifications and equipment/system replacements, as well as to define, evaluate, and implement complex environmental compliance and permitting projects.
The position will offer you the opportunity to expand your knowledge of engineering and environmental systems, and to work with multi-disciplined project teams to:
- Establish, evaluate and review the design of air and water quality control projects for the industrial setting and renewable energy market.
- Perform engineering studies for improving air quality and water quality control projects.
- Independently verify the design of vendor-supplied equipment.
- Analyse technical issues, prepare accompanying system specification data, and present your findings and proposals.
- Evaluate the impact of legislation and regulatory initiatives with respect to air and water quality controls for new and existing energy and industrial sources.
- Prepare complex environmental compliance evaluations and environmental permit applications, and interface with state and local permitting agencies.
As a member of the True Eco team, you will be responsible for:
- Establishing work priorities on a daily basis for multiple projects and responding to requests from project/ technical managers.
- Maintaining and enhancing your knowledge and understanding of industry standards and specifications, control system design, and new technology developments.
- Developing your career via peer-learning and knowledge sharing with other engineers.
- Participating in industry code committees and conferences.
You will have the opportunity to provide technical guidance to fresh engineers, travel to client and vendor offices for project reviews, and travel to plant site locations for field verification of designs.
Essential skills and experience:
- This position requires a Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- An understanding of the practical application of chemical/process engineering and technology, including applying systems, principles, techniques, procedures to a project design, and mass and heat balances.
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to quickly identify and prioritize issues, create solutions and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Willing to travel.
- Proficiency with MS Office and CAD applications.
- Prior, related internship or co-op experience is preferred.
- Project management experience is a plus.
- Preferred experience: 2-3 years of related experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
