Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
1. To adopt the spirit of teamwork & support team members.
2. To embrace the importance of personal touch/communication.
3. Ensure accuracy in all documentation prior to issuance.
4. Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements and industry standards.
5. Ensure timely and accurate data entry and financials into claims portal.
Claims Management
6. Manage all aspects of the assigned files/portfolio from the point of notification until conclusion.
7. Efficient and prompt management of notifications, including attending to all queries in a timely manner, ensuring guidance is sought where necessary, in accordance with LC's processes and guidelines.
8. Assess policy coverage and analyse all relevant information including panel lawyer opinions, documents and cause papers, specifically when preparing recommendations/reports.
9. Upload, update and maintain accurate and detailed records of all notification/claim activities including correspondence, reports and documents in accordance with LC's process, i.e. using the dedicated claims portal and electronic filing. Only when necessary, hard copies are to be maintained.
10. Identify any unusual claims, spikes in certain types of claims, new scams and fraudulent schemes trends to assist with risk management.
11. Prepare reports/updates on claims status and financials.
Stakeholder Management
12. Liaising with the stakeholders of MyBar PI Scheme, i.e. Malaysian Bar (especially the PI Committee and PII & RM Department), members/insured firms with notifications, insurers, panel lawyers and appointed broker.
13. Provide clear and concise communication on the claims process, status updates, strategy and resolutions.
14. Address and resolve any concerns or disputes raised by stakeholders with regard to notifications in a professional manner.
Other related duties that may arise
15. Assist the team and Manager with the development and implementation of internal processes & procedures.
16. Train and/or assist with the training of team members.

Key Qualification and Experience
1. Bachelor of Law degree
2. Called to the Malaysian Bar, ideally with 1-2 years of practice experience.
3. Experience in insurance disputes is an advantage.
4. Good communication skills.
5. Understand basic legal principles
6. Possesses proper computer skills and knowledge of relevant software.
7. To know when to involve seniors.
