Job Purpose
Responsible for implementation and supervision of safety activities during construction to prevent mishaps occurring at sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the site QHSE implementation under KJTS Group scope of work.
- Carry out safety inspection / audit where necessary and applicable.
- Reports to Project Manager and Safety Officer (for site job) regarding safety issues and findings.
- Attend to site safety meeting which hold by client / consultant.
- Responsible for the site housekeeping and tidiness.
- Ensure all sub-contractors adhere to OSHA ACT 1994, FMA 1967 and to all the guidelines.
- Conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefing, safety induction and relevant meetings with all site personnel to ensure QHSE procedures are clearly understood.
- Conduct machinery and equipment inspection as per QHSE plan.
- Inspect electrical tools, machineries (Joint inspection with competent electrical personnel).
- Implement and coordinate Permit to Work System with client / subcontractors and do filing all the PTW records.
- Maintain and keep up to date all the documents/records pertaining to QHSE management system.
- Assist Project Manager, Safety Officer on ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 Internal & External Audit.
- Carry out any other assignment assigned by QHSE Manager / Senior Project Manager or Management from time to time.
- Participate in Safety & Health Committee as a member and discharge duties assigned therein.
- Manage administration of legal documentation and monitor all jobs comply to DOSH, DOE, BOMBA & etc related government bodies accordance to their legal requirements and standards.
- Conduct regular reviews of the Company’s safety policies and initiate updates of procedures whenever necessary
- Checking of sub-contractors work to ensure compliance with the Act and regulations made thereunder are complied.
- Ensure workers passport, working permit, CIDB and any required competency to perform a job are always valid to work at site.
- To prepare QHSE report and HIRADC.
- Assist Project Manager on safety matters, procedures and specifications as required by client.
- Able to be relocated and stationed at project site until project is finish.
Requirements
QUALIFICATION
- Professional Certificate in Occupational Safety & Health from NIOSH and registered with DOSH as Competent Site Safety Supervisor
- Diploma or High School Certificate
- DOSH Yellow Book
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 2 to 3 years experience in Operation & Maintenance requirements preferably in HVAC.
