SCOPE OF THE JOB
This role to provide comprehensive legal support and corporate secretarial services to the Group, Board of Directors, and Aviation Business Division, ensuring seamless collaboration with internal departments, external counsel, and regulatory authorities to deliver timely, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions aligned with the overall legal strategy.
JOB SUMMARY
- We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as an Assistant Manager, Legal & Secretarial. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring our company's legal compliance, effective corporate governance, and seamless secretarial functions. You will have the opportunity to work closely with internal departments, external legal experts, and regulatory authorities to drive legal excellence and contribute to our overall success.
- To assist the Head of Legal & Corporate Secretarial in various legal and corporate secretarial matters across the Company and its subsidiaries.
- Actively participate in the management and administration of the Company’s legal affairs, preparing and reviewing related legal documents for the Company, managing any legal suits / claims made by or against the Company and also ensuring that the Company is in compliance with all applicable law and regulations.
- Actively participate in the management and administration of the Company’s corporate secretarial matters, preparing and reviewing related corporate secretarial documents for the Company and assisting in ensuring that the Company’s corporate secretarial matters at all times in compliance with the related regulations.
- To assist the Aviation Business in various legal and corporate secretarial matters across the Company and its subsidiaries.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- To draft and prepare any agreements, letters, documents related to legal and corporate secretarial matters.
- To review any documents, agreements, letters related to legal and corporate secretarial matters.
- To provide legal advisory services to any personnel, internal departments and the Company’s subsidiaries.
- To participate in contract negotiations
- To assist in corporate exercise
- To manage any suits taken by or against the Company.
- To liaise with the external lawyers for any legal matters awarded to them to handle, mainly in regards to any legal suits.
- To draft, review, maintain and update the department’s SOP.
- To prepare and submit daily timesheet to the HOD.
- To attend to and resolve any legal and corporate secretarial concerns and issues that may arise from time to time.
- To perform and complete all ad hoc tasks assigned by the HOD and the Management from time to time.
- To keep abreast of latest legal and corporate secretarial regulations and law changes, new developments and international best practices on applicable business segments.
- To apply and made known all latest development, changes and amendment on related legal and corporate secretarial law and regulations into the Company’s operation and amongst the Company personnel.
- To update and administered the record keeping and filing of all case file in regards to the legal and corporate secretarial matters.
- To actively participate in the preparation and production of the Company’s Annual Report.
- To actively participate in the preparation of the Company’s Annual General Meeting.
- To attend to any queries related to legal and corporate secretarial matters from the internal and external auditors, the Management and the internal departments and staffs.
- To actively participate in the amendment and update of the Company’s limit of authority,
- To ensure proper execution of all the legal and corporate secretarial documents.
- To perform any other duties as deemed fit to be within the scope of your position and as determined by Management from time to time.
SKILLS

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- BLS Hons/ LLB Hons/LLM Hons
EXPERIENCES
- Five (5) years of experience in legal, compliance and corporate matters in property development and aviation business sector.
