Our client is a specialist provider of asset services, custody, payments and treasury services. Our client has a processing centre of operational excellence supporting 10 countries across three geographical time zones employing a Global Operating Model to maximise efficiencies across times zones and supports a 24/5 operational capability. The objectives for Malaysia are to enhance the scalability of their global operations, improve service quality via their ‘centres of excellence’ and to implement/leverage standardised processes globally.

Working hours : 9.00am – 6.00pm

Region : SG and HK

What will you do?

The Head of BRM will support business in monitoring business risks through robust dashboards and effective controls management. The incumbent will drive business risks framework by the following:


  • Ensure a healthy risk culture within the Front office
  • Design and develop risks dashboard and its governance for supervisory oversight and effective risk management
  • Manage and streamline inventory of controls performed by front office
  • Represent business/markets when global or regulatory requirements are to be implemented; assess feasibility and implementation implications
  • Support front office in both internal and regulatory audits (from preparation, remediation to tracking)
  • Participate in projects/initiatives (when required) that drives process efficiency


What do you need to succeed?

Must-have


  • At least 10 years of professional experience within banking environment, preferably in private banking.
  • Profound knowledge of Business and Operational Risk, as well as the Client Advisory process
  • Excellent relationship management capabilities
  • Bachelor’s Degree from a reputable university
  • Have prior experience in Process Change management
  • Keen to work in a transparent environment and is able to speak up
  • Fluency in English is a must, and relevant local language is a plus
