JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Responsible for the timely preparation of accurate financial statements on an entity and consolidated basis and ensure compliance with and adherence to applicable MFRS/IFRS and other statutory requirements.
  • Leading a team responsible for all spectrums of finance, accounting and taxation functions as well as financial management and reporting
  • Ensure sound and timely accounting and financial reporting system throughout the group including overseeing and monitoring an effective account closing cycle and financial reporting.
  • Timely preparation of budget and analysis, forecasts and projections, financial performance reports.
  • Responsible for treasury, banking matters, cash flow management and projection and analytical review.
  • Develop, implement and maintain accounting and finance policies and procedures for a wide-ranging set of accounting and financial activities.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, regulatory authorities, bankers, lawyers and company secretary on audit/tax/banking/legal matters.
  • Delivery-oriented with ability to drive multiple projects at the same time

REQUIREMENTS

  • Have at least 10 years’ experience in similar capacity. Working experience in a Big 10 audit firm and commercial experience in a public listed company is highly preferable.
  • Possess ACCA/MICPA/ICAEW or other accounting qualification.
  • Sound and hand-on technical knowledge in accounting technical knowledge including MFRS/IFRS.
  • Meticulous attention to details, strong sense of responsibility, integrity, proactive, result-oriented, able to work in a fast-paced environment and ability to complete tasks within tight datelines.
  • Able to prepare and oversee a team preparing a full set of a financial statements
  • Excellent skills in report presentation, interpersonal communication and data analysis.
