We are seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Manager, Finance (Hong Kong) to support the financial strategy, execution, and management of our Hong Kong entities. In this role, you will assist the local management team through economic analysis, planning, forecasting, and decision-making processes. Your expertise will be essential in managing working capital, treasury functions, tax compliance, and audit activities.

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Manager, Finance (Hong Kong) to support the financial strategy, execution, and management of our Hong Kong entities. In this role, you will assist the local management team through economic analysis, planning, forecasting, and decision-making processes. Responsibilities
- Finance Strategy and Execution: Assist in executing the finance strategy and management for the local country entity
- Finance Review: Review invoices, statements and prepare periodic payments processing
- Business Support: Support the local management team with economic analysis, planning, forecasting, and decision-making.
- Working Capital and Treasury Management: Aid in the effective management of working capital and treasury functions
- Tax Compliance and Audit: Support tax compliance and audit activities to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements
- Team Leadership and collaboration: Assist the Manager in leading the finance team's day-to-day finance and accounting functions including but not limited to month-end, quarterly, and annual closing/reporting
- Finance Transformation: Assist in finance automation and transformation projects involving people, systems, tools, and processes
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of accounting records in accordance with applicable regulatory and financial reporting frameworks
- Reporting: Prepare monthly reporting packages for HQ Finance and assist in quarterly reporting, due diligence audits, and Group audits
- Statutory Filings: Assist in preparing and filing periodic tax and other statutory returns with relevant regulatory bodies
- Audit and Regulatory Liaison: Liaise with Hong Kong auditors and regulators, including the Insurance Authority
- Business Controls: Observe and support compliance with business controls, ensuring the efficiency, effectiveness, integrity, and business focus of financial systems and processes
- Provide support to Taiwan Market if required.
- Provide any other ad-hoc functions as assigned by management.
- Bachelor's degree (knowledge on Finance/Accounting or related filed)
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA), preferably with auditing experience
- At least 2-3 years of supervisory or managerial work experience in finance, audit, or accounting with a total of 6-8 years of relevant working experience.
- Senior candidates will be considered for a Manager position
- Comfortable working in a multicultural and fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented, analytical, quantitative, systematic, and organized
- Fluent in English and Chinese, both verbal and written (written Traditional Chinese highly preferred)
- Proficient in Excel and finance/accounting software
- Independent, proactive, high-energy, and with excellent interpersonal skills.
- SAP working knowledge
- Updated knowledge of the local Hong Kong tax system and commercial laws is a plus
- Fluent in verbal Cantonese is highly preferred
- Previous experience in the insurance brokerage business is a plus
