Job Purpose
Manage and administer the overall Property & Projects functions including Project Management, Property management, TRX Project and Admin & Services for the purpose of providing continuous, conducive and safe office environment for staffs and customers. Key responsibilities include overseeing financial management, customer service, regulatory compliance, and staff development initiatives within the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic expansion of the bank by overseeing the establishment of additional branches nationwide.
- Lead and oversee all branch projects, including repair & maintenance, upgrading, and relocation initiatives. Oversee the completion of facilities at Menara Affin TRX, including enhancements to lift efficiency, implementation of project & complaint management trackers, provision of gym facilities, and coordination of security services.
- Ensure that actual expenditures of the Property & Projects Department remain within the approved budgetary limits.
- Manage the implementation of departmental cost initiatives to optimize resource utilization and drive cost efficiencies.
- Administer and oversee all services provided by the main units within the department, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction in terms of quality and timeliness.
- Thoroughly assess and address complaints, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication with stakeholders.
- Provide and formulate the department's framework for overall functions and activities, aligning with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Manage and improve existing processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Ensure that audit issues pertaining to the Property & Projects Department are addressed and resolved in a timely manner, in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor the performance of subordinates, ensuring adherence to discipline and work procedures set by the Bank, and providing necessary guidance and support for improvement.
- Plan and oversee the department's staff development initiatives, including training, coaching clinics, and job attachments, to enhance employee skills and capabilities.
- Ensure compliance of OSHA requirements for the bank in collaboration with Group People Office.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in property management, project management, and leadership roles within the banking or financial services industry.
- Strong financial acumen and budget management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficiency in regulatory compliance and risk management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve departmental objectives.
- Proficiency in regulatory compliance and risk management.
- Related professional certifications namely in Workplace and Facilities Management (IWFM), Certified Property Manager, Registered Energy Manager or Green Building Index are highly desirable.
- Certifications in PMP, Six Sigma, ASQ and IRCA would be an advantage.
