What is the opportunity?
We are seeking a senior front-end developer, with a strong eye for design and user experience, and with particular experience in developing within secure enterprise environments as well as public-facing environments. Your applications will ensure colleagues all over the world are empowered with the most intuitive, capable and robust apps helping them carry out their day-to-day roles in sales, marketing and client service. Job Description
What is the opportunity?
We are seeking a senior front-end developer, with a strong eye for design and user experience, and with particular experience in developing within secure enterprise environments as well as public-facing environments. Your applications will ensure colleagues all over the world are empowered with the most intuitive, capable and robust apps helping them carry out their day-to-day roles in sales, marketing and client service. This position requires a combination of programming skills and aesthetics, and will directly contribute to our ability to attract & retain clients, and create a great working environment for our colleagues.
What will you do?
- Design and implement new features and functionality in web applications, including interactive content, working both independently and in conjunction with developers & designers in Canada, USA & UK
- Implement automated testing, particularly for accessibility.
- Conduct design and code reviews, ensuring best practices, and refactor & rewrite code where required to manage technical debt
- Keep codebase up-to-date with dependencies upstream (JavaScript frameworks, libraries)
- Aid users & support teams in troubleshooting and resolving bugs.
- Stay current with latest frameworks and technology capabilities, to ensure our marketing & operations teams have the best user experience possible
- Required: Extensive experience in JavaScript, specifically with React and Vue.js frameworks
- Required: Extensive experience in UX/UI design
- Preferred: Experience using Figma and design tools
- Helpful: Knowledge of Gutenberg block development, Node.js, PHP or Python
- Proficient with code management (GitHub), CI/CD and DevOps tooling
- Ability to organise multiple deadlines and perform a variety of tasks concurrently and efficiently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills – good at documenting code, technical architecture, and rationale for technical decisions
- Be a great teammate that is reliable, flexible, helpful, and works well in a collaborative environment
