Asst Mgr - Supply Chain (Export & Freight Sourcing)

Export Logistics Management & Operational Efficiency:

• Oversee export documentation, ensure compliance with regulations, and track shipments to guarantee timely delivery.
• Experience with demand planning, forecasting, and inventory management.
• Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues or delays that may arise during transit.
• Implement new or improved supply chain processes to enhance operational efficiency.
• Monitor and adjust supply chain activities to meet changing market conditions and business opportunities.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Coordinate with suppliers and freight providers to ensure timely and accurate shipment.

Freight Sourcing & Supplier Management:

• Develop strategies to optimize transportation costs, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships with carriers and logistics providers.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with freight carriers, logistics providers, and other third-party vendors.
• Maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality of goods, timely delivery, and compliance with contract terms.
• Conduct supplier audits and performance evaluations.
• Source and manage freight providers for export operations.
• Conduct market research to identify potential freight providers and negotiate contracts.

Compliance & Risk Management:

• Ensure adherence to international trade laws and mitigate risks associated with export operations.
• Knowledgeable in Strategic Trade Act Management.
• Assess and manage risks to supply chain operations due to potential disruptions or variances.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

• Analyse supply chain performance, and develop KPIs to drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain accurate records of all supply chain activities, including tracking, measurement, reporting, and analysis of performance data.
• Generate daily reports and provide regular updates to the Senior Manager, Export.

Process Improvement:

• Identify and implement improvements to enhance the efficiency of our logistics and freight operations.
• Develop and implement strategies to ensure efficient and cost-effective logistics operations.
• Create and execute plans for the efficient delivery of goods and services to customer.

Requirements :-

• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistic, Business Administration or equivalent.
• Min 3 years experience in supply chain management or freight sourcing with a focus on export operations.
• Well versed in international shipping regulations, strong negotiation, analytical and good problem-solving skill.
• Proficiency in supply chain management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Exposure in SAP B1 software and tools will be an added advantage.
• Permanent vacancy based in PJ, Selangor area.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
