Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee and prepare full sets of monthly management accounts, including journals, bank reconciliations, sub-ledger reconciliations, and balance sheet sub-schedules, ensuring timely and accurate reporting for overseas operations.
- Ensure overseas subsidiaries comply with local accounting standards and group policies, while consolidating their financial results into group financial statements.
- Manage all accounting and financial reporting functions, including accounts payable, treasury, fixed assets, inventory, taxes, financial accounting, management accounts, and statutory reporting.
- Develop and implement financial data collection, consolidation, and evaluation processes; analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights and recommendations to management.
- Provide timely financial reports and analysis to shareholders, investors, management, and banking partners, supporting strategic decisions and compliance requirements.
- Ensure proper reconciliation of overseas accounts payable and accurate reporting of outstanding liabilities.
- Assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts for overseas subsidiaries, ensuring alignment with overall group financial targets.
- Achieve accounting objectives by forecasting needs, preparing budgets, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and taking corrective actions.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Implement and maintain internal controls and accounting policies to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations; liaise with auditors, banks, and tax authorities as needed.
- Provide financial guidance and support to other departments, driving financial performance through data analysis and ROI assessments, while supporting key business decisions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, and must hold a membership with MIA (Malaysian Institute of Accountants).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the fire safety industry with exposure to international operations and reporting.
- Familiarity with tax regulations, audits, and statutory reporting requirements in multiple countries.
- Strong Analytical Skill in problem solving and making timely decision.
- Strong leadership skills, with experience supervising and developing finance teams.
- Proficiency in financial accounting systems and advanced knowledge of Excel.
