JOB BRIEF

The Dean of Information Technology is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing the IT department within an educational institution. This role requires a combination of technical expertise and strategic planning to ensure that the institution's IT infrastructure and systems support its academic and administrative needs.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

· Provide educational and academic leadership for excellence in teaching, learning and research within the University’s philosophy and environment.

· Direct, manage, supervise, and coordinate the programs, activities and academic including research affairs of the responsible faculty.

· Exercise direct supervision over professional, technical and clerical staff. Coordinate assigned activities with other faculties, divisions and outside agencies.

· Provide highly responsible and complex administrative support to the Deputy Vice Chancellor of Academic.

· Ensure the faculty achieves the annual research publications target.

· Ensure publication of at least one (1) personal research paper annually

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Doctoral degree in a relevant field, such as Information Technology or Computer Science.

· Professorship in Information Technology field with minimum 5 years in managerial role.

· Significant experience in IT management, with a proven track record of leadership and strategic planning.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.

· Knowledge of educational technology trends and best practices.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM10,000.00 - RM15,000.00 per month
