Short Description: Responsibility: • Infrastructure Management: Operate and maintain the Local Digital Infrastructure optimally. This includes regular maintenance of all main and peripheral equipment used for our services to ensure high availability for customers. • Customer Communication: Ensure prompt updates to customers on circuit status, adhering to templates and using pre-defined messages from the ticketing system. • Troubleshooting: Perform advanced troubleshooting using the Network Management System, ensuring cases are escalated appropriately according to guidelines. • Team Collaboration: Work closely with different resolver teams to ensure service restoration in the shortest possible time. Assist the shift lead in daily operational matters for smooth team operations. • Incident Management: Manage CRISIS/Major Incidents by working with internal/external teams on circuit restoration. Assist in prioritizing customer circuits and coordinating circuit restoration with all resolver groups during a major incident. • Change Notification: Update management on the restoration status (both Domestic & International) through Change Notifications. • Outage Management: Manage Planned Outage activities. • Major Incident Support: Support Major Incident Management in producing summaries of fault nature, problems, and actions taken for prolonged outage incidents based on severity levels and incident priority. • Continuous Improvement: Continuously seek new ways to improve the technical grade of service for our customers and enhance customer satisfaction. This includes reviewing customer network configurations to enhance network reliability. Minimum Qualification • Minimum qualification of IT Diploma in Electronics, Telecommunication or Computer Science / Degree in Electronics, Telecommunication or Computer Science. CCNA / CCNP / CCIE Certified Experience and Skill Requirements • Experience: Several years of experience in telecommunications, specifically in network design, implementation, and maintenance. • Technical Skills: Possesses a solid working knowledge of various transmission technologies, including but not limited to Ethernet over SDH (EoSDH), Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM), Synchronous Optical Networking/Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (SONET/SDH), and Optical Transport Network (OTN). Hands on experience with WAN and LAN. • Certifications: Certifications like CCNA, CCNP, or others related to network engineering can be beneficial. • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve network issues efficiently. • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate technical information effectively to a non-technical audience. • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team and coordinate with other departments. • Knowledge of Industry Standards: Familiarity with industry standards and regulations. • Continuous Learning: Willingness to stay updated with the latest advancements in technology.
