Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

Dessert Menu Development:

  • Develop innovative and seasonal dessert menus.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to create complementary dessert pairings.
  • Stay up-to-date with current food trends and dietary preferences.

Dessert Preparation:

  • Prepare a variety of desserts, including pastries, cakes, tarts, and ice creams.
  • Ensure that all desserts are prepared according to recipes and meet quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of recipes, ingredients, and production costs.

Plating and Presentation:

  • Create visually appealing dessert presentations that enhance the dining experience.
  • Pay attention to detail, ensuring that each dessert is plated perfectly.

Team Management:

  • Lead and supervise a team of pastry chefs and kitchen staff.
  • Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide training.
  • Maintain a positive and efficient work environment.

Inventory Management:

  • Manage inventory levels of ingredients and supplies.
  • Place orders for necessary items.
  • Minimize food waste and optimize inventory costs.

Food Safety and Hygiene:

  • Adhere to strict food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen.
  • Comply with all relevant health and safety regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Culinary degree or diploma.
  • Proven experience as a pastry chef or dessert chef.
  • Strong understanding of baking and pastry techniques.
  • Creative flair and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of food cost control and inventory management.
  • Ability to taste and adjust flavors to perfection.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
