The Finance Executive will support the finance department in managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, ensuring compliance with regulations, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting. Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
- Bank Reconciliations: Perform daily or monthly bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of the company’s financial records.
- Expense Management: Review and process employee expense claims and ensure adherence to company policies.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist with the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts, providing necessary financial data and analysis.
- Tax Compliance: Support in the preparation of tax returns, ensuring compliance with local tax laws and regulations. Assist with audits and liaising with tax authorities if required.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct variance analysis and provide financial insights to assist management in decision-making. Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to improve financial performance.
- Internal Controls: Ensure proper internal controls are in place to safeguard the company’s assets and prevent fraud.
- Data Entry and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate financial records, update financial databases, and ensure all documentation is properly filed and stored.
- Ad Hoc Financial Support: Assist in ad hoc financial projects and tasks as required by management.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA) are a plus.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in finance or accounting roles, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions) and accounting software
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and reporting.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and suggest improvements.
- Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills to interact with internal stakeholders and external parties.
- Knowledge of Malaysian Financial Regulations: Familiarity with local accounting standards, tax laws, and financial regulations in Malaysia.
