- Oversee the end-to-end purchasing process, from order placement through to delivery, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Develop, implement, and sustain purchasing strategies aligned with business objectives to ensure the continuous supply of goods and services.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers/vendors based on quality, reliability, cost, and other relevant criteria.
- Negotiate and collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional departments to secure optimal pricing, delivery schedules, and quality standards required for projects and tasks.
- Analyze purchasing data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and supplier optimization.
- Address and resolve any discrepancies related to orders, deliveries, invoicing, or quality control in a timely and effective manner.
- Prepare and present monthly reports on purchasing activities, leveraging data analysis to identify trends, areas for improvement, and efficiency opportunities for the company.
- Coordinate with inventory stakeholders to assess stock levels and facilitate monthly closing procedures.
- Evaluate supplier payment terms and devise strategies to improve them.
- Mitigate risks by sourcing and developing new suppliers for existing materials.
- Chair purchasing meetings to ensure compliance and make recommendations to management regarding organizational policies.
- Lead cost-saving initiatives, including supplier negotiations and market evaluations.
- Review and analyze historical material purchases to optimize purchasing decisions.
- Execute any additional tasks assigned by management or handle ad-hoc responsibilities as needed.
- Provide leadership to the Purchasing department, supporting daily operations and ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Perform any other tasks and responsibilities as and when assigned by the superior from time to time.
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in procurement, preferably within a retail or lifestyle industry.
- Able to communicate in Mandarin
- Strong negotiation skills with experience in vendor management and securing favorable terms.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret purchasing data to drive decisions.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and inventory management systems.
