Senior Survey Engineer

Key Tasks: o Develop and implement comprehensive survey plans for dredging and terminal construction activities. o Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure alignment of survey operations with construction timelines. o Oversee topographic, bathymetric, and geodetic surveys using advanced equipment (e.g., GPS, total stations, multi-beam sonar, LiDAR). o Collect and analyze data for dredging depth, sediment layers, and site topography. o Ensure survey data complies with project specifications and industry standards. o Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot survey equipment to ensure optimal performance. o Evaluate new survey technologies to enhance efficiency and accuracy. o Verify the accuracy and integrity of survey data and ensure proper documentation. o Prepare detailed survey reports, maps, and charts for use by the engineering and construction teams. o Conduct audits and quality checks of subcontractors' survey work. o Provide technical support and recommendations to project stakeholders based on survey findings. o Address discrepancies or challenges encountered during the construction process. o Supervise and mentor junior surveyors and technicians. o Conduct training sessions on survey techniques and safety protocols. Key Skills: • In-depth knowledge of survey methodologies, including geodetic, hydrographic, and engineering surveys. • Proficiency in survey equipment (e.g., GNSS, total stations, drones) and software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, Hypack). • Ability to analyze complex geospatial data and provide actionable insights. • Strong troubleshooting skills for survey equipment and operations. • Capable of handling multiple survey operations simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality output. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
