OPERATIONS MANAGER

• Responsible for overseeing the end-to-end operational processes, ensuring the efficient and timely handling, sorting and delivery of mail and packages. • Supervise daily operations, including mail sorting, packaging, transportation and delivery. • Ensure timely and accurate processing of inbound and outbound mail and packages. • Lead, train and mentor staff, including mail carriers, clerks and warehouse workers. • Create shift schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels to meet operational demands. • Monitor employee performance and address any issues or inefficiencies. • Oversee transportation and fleet management for efficient delivery routes. • Optimize delivery schedules to reduce costs while maintaining service quality. • Collaborate with route planners to address delays or challenges in real time. • Work closely with marketing, sales, and customer service teams to align operations with business objectives. • Coordinate with IT for the implementation and maintenance of operational systems. • Ensure compliance with postal regulations, safety standards and company policies. • Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed. • Handle escalations related to lost, damaged or misdelivered mail. • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as delivery times, error rates and customer satisfaction. • Analyze operational data to identify trends, bottlenecks and areas for improvement. • Address customer complaints and inquiries promptly and professionally. • Work with the customer service team to ensure smooth resolution of issues. • Develop initiatives to improve customer experience and trust in postal services. • Implement and utilize logistics software to streamline operations and enhance tracking capabilities. • Identify and propose operational improvements, such as automation or new delivery methods. • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices. • Manage operational budgets and control costs related to labor, transportation and facility maintenance. • Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising service quality.
