The resort consists of 494 guest rooms, a 64-acre nature reserve, the Rasa Ria Reserve, home to wildlife including long-tailed macaques and slow lorises, and home to an 18-hole championship golf course with picture-perfect views of Mt Kinabalu (a UNESCO World Heritage site).
We're looking for a passionate and experienced Nature Reserve Manager or aspiring to be required for our Rasa Ria Reserve.
Job Summary
Creating positive and memorable experience where guests enjoy a safe, educational and engaging time at the reserve
Operational oversight to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of the nature reserve while balancing guest satisfaction and staff well-being
Effective team leadership to inspire, guide, and manage a passionate team of naturalists by promoting shared vision of conservation, and fostering a motivated, collaborative workforce.
Overseeing the financial and administrative aspects of the reserve to ensure that operations run smoothly, and resources are effectively allocated
Requirements
Degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Conservation or related field.
2 to 3 years of experience in conservation management, wildlife field or similar role.
Strong knowledge of environmental science, ecology, and conservation principles.
Leadership and people management abilities.
Fluent in oral and written English; local dialects and/or Mandarin an advantage.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Passion for nature and sustainability & leads by example
