We are seeking a dynamic individual to take on the role of Membership Manager. Reporting directly to the CEO, the role will play a crucial role on driving membership acquisition and retention through strategic planning, targeted outreach and active engagement with potential and existing members. - Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve membership revenue targets.
- Proactively manage a database of potential members and execute actionable plans to meet membership growth projections.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create innovate innovation recruitment campaigns and initiatives, engaging potential members through meetings, presentations and other efforts.
- Track and report lead, meetings, and sales performance for management review.
- Maintain and update the CRM system with new contacts and information about existing contacts.
- Cross-sell the Chambers offerings, including sponsorship, advertisement, events tables/ticket and trade services to maximise value.
- Build and maintain strong communications and relationships with members to keep them informed of Chamber’s activities, highlight benefits, identity new opportunities encouraging active participation.
- Innovate and enhance membership services by introducing new ideas and solutions to increase member value.
- Partner with the communications team to create engaging materials that highlight the benefits of membership especially for premium members.
- Actively manage member data and profiles accurately.
- Lead the annual membership retention campaign, ensuring a seamless renewal process and meeting retention target.
- Build and nurture member networks (e.g. Penang, Johor, young professionals, women), fostering strong connections within the Chamber community.

- Support key Chamber initiative and collaborate with other departments as needed.
- Demonstrate flexibility in taking on new assignments or special projects.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree with five (5) or more years in business development and client relationship management.
- Proven expertise in cross selling, creating innovating recruitment campaigns
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, with an excellent command of written and spoken English as a prerequisite.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask, willingness to do more and thrive under pressure
- Adaptability and Collaboration are essential qualities for success
