Position Summary:
The Orphanage Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the orphanage, ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of the children under care. This role requires strong leadership skills, compassion, and a commitment to providing a nurturing and structured environment. The Orphanage Manager will work closely with staff, volunteers, and external stakeholders to maintain high standards of care and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Child Welfare and Development:
- Ensure the safety, health, and emotional well-being of all children.
- Oversee the implementation of educational, recreational, and developmental programs.
- Facilitate access to medical care, counseling, and other essential services.
- Develop individualized care plans for children as needed.

2. Staff Management:
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff, including caregivers, social workers, and administrative personnel.
- Assign duties, monitor performance, and conduct regular evaluations.
- Promote teamwork, professional development, and a positive workplace culture.

3. Operations Management:
- Oversee the daily operations of the facility, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and care quality.
- Maintain accurate records of all activities, including children’s progress, staff schedules, and financial transactions.

4. Financial and Resource Management:
- Prepare and manage budgets, ensuring optimal use of resources.
- Identify and secure funding through grants, donations, and partnerships.
- Oversee inventory and maintenance of facilities, equipment, and supplies.

5. Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, NGOs, donors, and community organizations.
- Communicate regularly with the Board of Directors, providing updates on activities and progress.
- Represent the orphanage at community events, conferences, and meetings.

6. Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure adherence to local laws, child protection regulations, and organizational policies.
- Prepare and submit reports to relevant authorities and stakeholders.
- Address any incidents promptly, implementing corrective actions where necessary.

7. Other Duties:
- Perform any other tasks as assigned by the Board of Directors or Executive Director.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Child Development, Psychology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in childcare management, pediatrics, school principle or a similar role.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle crises effectively and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Proficiency in budget management and resource allocation.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Commitment to the mission and values of the orphanage.

Working Location: Taman Abad, Johor Bahru.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
